The following list shows some of the exhibits that have been built and/or developed by Concepts Plus over the past ten years. Many of them offer links to detailed information and images.

  Electro-mechanical Exhibits

Bernoulli Blower
This science centre classic helps in understanding the physics of lift that allow aircraft to fly. Built 1995, Client: Mercedes Benz, "Stern für Kids".

Coloured Shadows
An easy exhibit which shows the results of adding and subtracting the colours red, green and blue. Built 1995, Client: Mercedes Benz, "Stern für Kids".

Frozen Shadows
The room is dark. Suddenly there is a bright flash, and the shadows of people in the room are frozen on one of the walls. Light sensitive film is responsible. Built 1995, Client: Mercedes Benz, "Stern für Kids".

Windmill Globe
The five rings that make up this spherical installation spin in opposite directions as soon as the wind begins to blow. Built 1995, Client: Mercedes Benz, "Stern für Kids".

Colour Separations
Users can experiment with colour, through manipulation of the light sources, the coloured surfaces or through using a video processor. Built 1999, Client: Technical Museum, Vienna

Wave Tank
Start the wave generator and adjust the frequency of the silicone oil waves. You can experiment by sliding different obstructions into the path of the waves. Particularly interference, defraction and reflection can be observed on the projection screen under the tank. Built 1999, Client: Technical Museum, Vienna.

Plasma Ball
This science centre standard exhibit demonstrates discharges in gas using a high voltage power supply. The course of the discharges can be influenced by placing your hand on the glass. Built 1999, Client: Technical Museum, Vienna.

Induction Exhibit
A copper wire coil, when moved through a magnetic field, creates a current in the coil. The current is induced through the breaking of the field lines. This exhibit provides three variations of the coil to provide a comparison. Built 1999, Client: Technical Museum, Vienna.

Cloud Rings
By pressing the outer ring on top of the cylindrical drum down, you can produce smoke rings which climb up to 10 metres into the air. Built 1999, Client: Adam Opel AG.

Storm in the desert
With "Storm in the desert" visitors can vary the frequency of sound waves in a closed glass tube until the sound waves are made visible by cork particles in the tube which begin to "dance". Built 2000, Client: Science Center Universum, Bremen.

Power converter
The "Power Converter" demonstrates loosely Boyle´s Law in a Gas. A large piston moving slowly displaces a small piston very quickly (quite explosively, actually!) Built 2000, Client: Science Center Universum, Bremen.

Warped space
"Warped space" is used as an analogy for distortions of time and space. Geometric shapes are projected onto a cylindrical surface, which can be warped into an hourglass form by the visitor. The projected shapes are then distorted. Built 2000, Client: Science Center Universum, Bremen.

  Computer Exhibits

A Republic for Australia
The aim was to communicate non-politicized information about what a republic is, in a time when Australians are grappling with the decision to break away fully from "Mother England". Built 1997, Client: National Museum of Australia.

Animation
Express your creativity by building an animated sequence out of single frames which you can set up and record yourself. At the same time of course you learn about how animation works. Built 1999, Client: Technical Museum, Vienna.

Video Image Editing
This exhibit sets out to demonstrate some of the important basic processes that are used in image editing, allowing you to do it for yourself. Built 1999, Client: Technical Museum, Vienna.

Stereo vision: Red /Green
This exhibit uses modern means to demonstrate an old technology. Put on the red/ green glasses, and view some typical historical images. The exhibit does offer some more modern stereo objects though; they can even be rotated in 3-D and in real time. Built 1999, Client: Technical Museum, Vienna.

Stereo vision: Shutter Glasses
This exhibit demonstrates a modern system for stereo vision. Users hold the glasses in front of their eyes before selecting an object from the on-screen menu. You can then rotate the selected 3-D object on the screen. Built 1999, Client: Technical Museum, Vienna.

Continental Drift
The movement of the continental plates over the last 600 million years is shown in steps of 5 million years, as accurately as possible. You can choose to run the animation automatically, or in a more interactive version, use a trackball to set a particular year. Built 1999, Client: Technical Museum, Vienna.

Statistics
When using this exhibit you can measure the behavior of radioactive decomposition. After a short time you can see how a natural distribution (bell) curve is built up on the monitor. Built 1999, Client: Technical Museum, Vienna.

Trixel Salon
This interactive media installation dealt with three dimensional traces of nomadic life, using the examples of pilgrimage, forced migration and traditional nomadism. Built 1999, Client: SAP AG, Sapphire´99.

Time is change
The video installation "Time is change" records the last 30 minutes as an animation (one image every 5 seconds) and allows visitors to play with the past. They can let an earlier time run parallel to the current time and compare, or they can play the past as a film, forwards and backwards, fast or slow. Built 2000, Client: Science Center Universum, Bremen.
